Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
These terms govern your use of the ParcelOps platform and services. Please read them carefully before using ParcelOps for your courier business.
1. Agreement
By accessing or using the ParcelOps platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using ParcelOps on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company to these terms.
These terms apply to all users of the platform including courier company administrators, operators, drivers, and customer portal users.
2. The service
ParcelOps provides a cloud-based freight management platform for South African courier companies. The platform includes waybill management, driver tracking, invoicing, customer portal, and related tools as described on our Features page.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice to active customers.
3. Accounts and access
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account.
Each courier company account is a separate tenant. You may not access, modify, or interfere with another tenant's data.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including the actions of your operators, drivers, and any users you invite to the platform.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use ParcelOps to:
- Process shipments for illegal goods or substances
- Violate any applicable South African law or regulation
- Interfere with the operation of the platform or other users' access
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the system
- Reverse-engineer, copy, or resell the platform or its components
- Upload malicious code or attempt to compromise platform security
5. Data and privacy
Your use of ParcelOps is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.
You retain ownership of your operational data (waybills, customer records, invoices). By using the platform, you grant ParcelOps a limited licence to process this data solely to provide the service.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any personal information of your customers and drivers, and for complying with POPIA in respect of that information.
6. Billing and payment
ParcelOps operates on a usage-based pricing model. Billing terms are set out in your service agreement.
Payment is processed via PayFast. Invoices are due within the payment terms specified in your agreement. Late payments may result in service suspension.
We reserve the right to adjust pricing with 30 days' notice to active customers.
7. Uptime and support
We aim to maintain high platform availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible.
Support is provided via email and chat during business hours (South African Standard Time). Response times vary by plan.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, ParcelOps is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the platform is limited to the fees paid by you in the three months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate the service agreement with 30 days' written notice. We may terminate or suspend your access immediately if you breach these terms.
On termination, you may request an export of your operational data within 30 days. After that period, data may be deleted from active systems, though archived for the legally required retention period.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active customers with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use of the platform after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
